in safe hands with an experienced pilot who’ll show you the beauty of Morocco’s dramatic landscapes against a backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. Just one hour from the legendary Djemaa el Fna square discover the amazing contrast that exists between the town and the surrounding countryside on a Marrakech hot air balloon flight.

Depart from your hotel early in the morning, between 0500 and 0630

(depending on season). For aerological reasons, the flights always occur very early in the morning. The time of departure will be specified at the time of your reservation.

 

The balloon flight itself lasts a minimum of an hour depending on the region whilst the whole excursion takes about 5 hours. This includes the preparation and inflation of the balloon in the open air, plus a traditional breakfast and the return journey by land-rover with the ground crew. Pilots are highly qualified and accredited with the Moroccan and European civil aviation authority.

 

Balloons go with the wind; the pilot can only control the altitude of the balloon by heating the inside of the envelope with the burners. Stability in the air is necessary as well as a slight wind and a mild temperature. The only way to get all these conditions is to take off just after sunrise. Happily, dawn is one of the most beautiful times of the day!

0500   Pick-up from riad or hotel. Time may vary by up to 1 hour 30 mins depending on season. 1 hour balloon flight up to 1000 metres altitude.

1000   Drop-off and end of tour.  
 

Notes: Wine is included with lunch. Please let us know any special dietary requirements in advance.

Balloon flights operate daily according to local conditions and must be booked in advance.

Price 2,050 dirhams per person for Classic Flight

Children up to 4 years old are free of charge. Children from 5 to 10 receive 50% discount on price.  

 

Flight Upgrades:

1. VIP Flight (includes exclusive champagne breakfast) – Adult 3,500 dirhams per person.


2. Top VIP Flight (includes a private flight with table and champagne with fresh fruits served during flight plus Wi-Fi) – Adult 4,920 dirhams per person.
 

3. Royal Flight (details on request) – Adult 5,800 dirhams per person.

PRICE INCLUDES

Pick-up/drop-off from your hotel or riad with 4x4 transfers to/from balloon departure point; breakfast; souvenir flight certificate; Moroccan tea; Berber breakfast in Caidal tent; limited liability insurance.
