A taste of adventure by quad bike for those seeking an exciting and fun activity close to Marrakech. This half day quad-biking excursion takes you into rural Morocco to reveal beautiful lunar and contrasting landscapes of palm groves and Marrakech desert. The trip is operated by a specialist and very experienced local company.

 

After a thorough safety and equipment briefing you head off following trails through stone desert, Berber villages, crossing the wadi to explore the vast but diminishing remnants of the Marrakech Palmeraie. And of course, great views of the High Atlas, the roof of North Africa. Detailed knowledge of the area, top-notch in-house maintenance and the complete reliability of equipment means this family-friendly half day excursion can also be tailored, on demand, to suit you and your parties tastes for exploration and adventure, all within the comfort of Marrakech.

Time permitting, the guides will be happy to show experienced riders their favourite tracks and spots. They’ll even take you to the edge of the little known Jbilets desert! On the way, a stop is planned in a little village to stretch your legs, sip hot tea and enjoy Berber hospitality. Discover the millennial mud walls and clever hammams still in use today and how the aridity of the land unravels into a rich tapestry of tastes, flavours and myriad shades of red as the light changes across the landscape.

ITINERARY (for Morning or Afternoon tours)

0845 (or 1345)   Pick-up from riad or hotel. Time may vary by 15 mins depending on pick-up point. 

​

0930 (or 1430)   Arrive at quad base. Safety and quad briefing. Helmet & goggles fitted.

​

1000 (or 1500)   Practice then depart on quad bike circuit with leader/guide familiar with terrain.

​

1200 (or 1700)   Return to quad base for debrief, photos and departure transfer to your hotel.

1245 (or 1745)   Drop-off and end of tour.

DEPARTS TWICE DAILY

The quad bike base operates year-round, is fully equipped and has toilets, cold drinks and Wi-Fi.

DON'T FORGET

Take your camera, closed shoes, comfortable clothing, sunscreen & warm clothes for winter sun. Avoid shorts or skirts.

Children under 16 must ride as passengers with an adult. Teenagers 16 and over require parental waiver to pilot a quad.

There may be a small additional transport charge of £5 (65 dirhams) per person for pick-up/drop-offs at accommodation outside of Marrakech medina, Hivernage or Gueliz; tips; personal risk insurance; extras not included.
